2. How many hours a week would you say that you dance (in and out of the studio)?

3. What ballet figure inspires you the most, the strength of the Firebird, the gracefulness of Odette, the wittiness of Polichinelles, etc.

4. How much time do you spend researching and teaching yourself ballet tricks and tips?

5. Finally, do you watch your peers and older dancers for inspiration in the studio? If not, it's an excellent idea to. I have learned a lot from watching older dancers in my studio. If so, great! Keep working diligently, and you can become a really good dancer!

I saw a documentary on 5 ballet dancers from American Ballet Theatre, and decided I would try ballet too! I was nine years old.

    2. How many hours a week would you say that you dance (in and out of the studio)?

Well, in the studio- 15ish hours a week.
Out of studio- Constantly! I am always dancing at home and doing grand jete's through the grocery store isle ;)

    3. What ballet figure inspires you the most, the strength of the Firebird, the gracefulness of Odette, the wittiness of Polichinelles, etc.

hmmmmm that's a hard one. I really like swan lake because one dancer gets to show two completely different dance personalities with Odette and Odile.

    4. How much time do you spend researching and teaching yourself ballet tricks and tips?

Haha all the time! I watch a lot of ballet videos on YouTube.
    5. Finally, do you watch your peers and older dancers for inspiration in the studio? If not, it's an excellent idea to. I have learned a lot from watching older dancers in my studio. If so, great! Keep working diligently, and you can become a really good dancer!

Yes. I was injured for about 8 weeks and had to watch all of my classes. It's amazing how much you can learn by watching others!

  2. 1. I started ballet because I'd done a little hip-hop and thought I'd try other types of dance. Then, before I knew it, I loved ballet more than anything else, including hip-hop, in the entire world. Now ballet IS my world!

    2. In the studio- depends, once school year starts probably like 7 or 8 hours a week, although this summer at camp it's been like almost 30 hours a week :D
    Out of the studio- CONSTANTLY!!!

    3. Hmm it's a toughy but I'd say the strength of the firebird!

    4. Like every second.... My most visited sites are all ballet blogs, ballet online stores, advice columns, and ballet videos! I spend a lot of time obsessing over it :P

    5. Of course! I loved watching the two level 3-ers at camp, they've both been en pointe for like a year and they are really good.

P.S. love the music on this page!!
